Franky’s Branding Bold, Retro Identity for a Food Brand

Franky’s is a bold, nostalgic food brand inspired by the golden era of American diners and classic New York pizzerias. With a full branding package covering everything from logo design and colour palette to packaging, uniforms, and digital content, this project blends retro charm with modern energy, built to stand out in a competitive food scene.

Bringing Retro Energy to a Modern Food Brand

Franky’s taps into the rich visual world of 1950s diners, food trucks, Smash Patty Burger Joints and NY-style slice Pizzerias. Combining these nostalgic references with a fresh,
contemporary aesthetic. The aim was to create a visual identity that felt instantly familiar, yet entirely new. Something that would appeal to both street food lovers, as well as
having the cool streetwear and graphic tee designs that would stand out against the competition.

A Full-Service Approach to Brand Identity

From strategy and tone of voice to physical touchpoints, this project covers the full spectrum. Franky’s branding includes a full logo suite, custom colour palette, messaging foundations, menu design, staff uniforms, social media content and more. Every detail was designed with consistency and brand character in mind.

Design Highlights: Packaging, Uniforms, and More

The visual identity extends into tactile experiences - takeaway packaging, retro-inspired merch, stamped receipts, and even coffee cups. Every touchpoint was designed to feel immersive, playful, and instantly shareable - with a consistent visual language from signage to socials. We wanted to bring back that old school feel that would stand out in a world full of sleek minimalism and luxury branding.

Bold, Playful, and Built for Social Appeal

In a food market that thrives on visual identity and social media content, Franky’s branding was made to pop, both online and in person. The colour palette, typography, and tone of voice are designed to stop the scroll, encourage engagement, and turn casual visitors into loyal fans. Giving that classy retro look that works on Instagram and Pinterest.
